Between the Niederhorn and the before the climb to the Burgfeldstand lies the small lake Hohseilseelein at 1920 m. Thanks to a clayey ground water collects in a hollow and therefore Alpine newts and Water Strider or Pond Skater can be watched. On quiet water reflections can be seen which enrich the landscape. Crucial for effective reflection pictures is the correct perspective. The photographer needs to put up with wet shoes and clothes.

The Burgfeldstand with 2063 m is the highest point of Beatenberg. In the background is the Stockhorn. At the Burgfeldstand hikers enjoy a rest while having a jovial chat with others and relish the terrific view before walking on in the direction of the Gemmenalphorn.

Go nearer? Not really to be recommended.
His hissing was clear enough. I have to submit to his will.
